
Annette O'Toole grew up in the Houston dance studio, which was managed by her mom. At the young age of 2 she first appeared on television as a child on the Don Mahoney Show for Kids. She and her mother, who had ten years of singing and dancing lessons to her credit, traveled in Los Angeles a full year at the age of 13 to determine the possibility of being successful in showbiz. In less than two months she secured her first job that was paid, singing in the Danny Kaye Show with Danny Kaye. She says "I am able to use my experience in singing and dance to many different ways." "The discipline you get from that is wonderful for actors." The debut performance of O'Toole in My Three Sons was followed by roles in Gunsmoke and The Mod Squad. She also appeared on Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. In her career, she's been in over 40 series For all her success both in the world of television and film O'Toole's greatest passion is the theater. She decided, after her time on Smallville ended, she would concentrate on theater exclusively. This is what she's been doing since beginning of this decade. After moving in New York, she had her debut on stage as a seagull in The Sea Gull. She's appeared in many Off-Broadway plays, including Adam Rapp's Kindness, and Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska.
