Ricci is the second-youngest child from Ralph Ricci and Sarah Murdoch. Her birthplace was Santa Monica, California. Her mother was a Ford Agency actress in the 1960s and later a real estate agent. Her father was a lawyer who was also a counsellor for drugs, fundamental screaming therapy and fitness instructor. Ricci claimed she believes that her Italian roots were the result of her surname.
