Maureen Denise McCormick is the younger daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th 1956 at Woodland Hills California. Her family consisted of a mother who was a housewife and a father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. McCormick is always a fan of performing, dancing and creating puppet shows. Following her win in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see what she thought about getting into the world of entertainment. McCormick was offered her first significant job in 1964 when she appeared in a television commercial for Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year she was a guest on the company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately chosen to play The Brady Bunch La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1200 auditioning children to play the oldest of three double-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. This show lasted for five seasons. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick revealed that during the shows fifth season she was close to losing her virginity to her screen brother and co-star Barry Williams. At the time, she was 16 and he was 19. We would've had a couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't the right time.
