Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name of her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Lennox survived off the stipend of a student as well as working part-time in order to earn a living. Lennox did not feel content with her performance compared with the other students at the Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox was a flute player in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. But she quit before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent show. She was the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. The band was where she got to know Dave Stewart and together they formed the duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to record her solo debut album Diva. The album came out in 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise both from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo was released in the month of October 2014. was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D.
